      Hello Mick,

Thank you for your enquiry about RYA Power Level 2. If you were not able to take the course last fall, we can offer you a chance to come train with us this season. We are very flexible about scheduling the Power Level 2 courses, since they are just 2 days instead of the longer time needed for other courses. Our season schedule begins in April. The course spans 2 days and is 345 GBP.

We hope to hear from you again.

    Hi,

I am interested in enrolling on the competent crew course. I currently work in the Middle East but could take some time off work to complete this. I was wondering whether 5 days included the nights or would I need to book hotels etc for the evenings? Is it possible to connect three working days and a weekend to complete the course in a week?

    Kind regards

    Sam

      Hello Sam,

Please accept our apologies for a delayed response. We would be delighted to assist with your sailing training. If you have not yet decided on your training, we have an ongoing schedule for Competent Crew. We have considerable experience with training in the Middle East since our RYA Principle and Chief Instructor developed and ran the cruising program at DOSC (Dubai Offshore Sailing Club) for several years – Now in Turkey, we are often visited by our Dubai friends looking for an escape the summer heat – and Turkey suits them just fine.

In response to your specific questions:

      1) The public course runs five days, four nights onboard our training yacht, Moondance. Since the course syllabus requires spending nights on the yacht, no hotel accommodations are necessary – unless you would like to come early and/or stay a few days after the course for a little R&R. If flight schedules require a hotel night before the course start or once it ends, we can usually offer a night or two extra on the yacht free-of-charge but without meals.
      2) The course typically runs from Monday to Friday. However, we constantly try to make scheduling adjustments to accommodate the scenario you mention. Every student has different needs and, therefore, the course schedules are constantly in flux.

We hope this answers your questions. Our course schedules begin in April. Please take another look at the website since we have now included information about the 2016 season. We hope to hear from you again soon.
